.UPDATE...
Issued at 323 AM MDT Sun Jun 22 2025
We`re issuing a Red Flag Warning for South Park this afternoon
and evening as it will still be dry and windy enough there. A few
other changes at this time. A bit more wind and lower dew points
today, except for more morning moisture over the eastern border
areas. Also undercutting NBM guidance for highs on Monday as it`s
lagging model trends on the amount of cold advection and cloud
cover behind the front.
&&
.DISCUSSION /Through Saturday/...
Issued at 220 PM MDT Sat Jun 21 2025
Currently, temperatures are in the mid to upper 90s across the
plains at this time. There should be one more day (Sunday) of
above normal heat for the CWA, but not as hot as today.
Southwesterly flow aloft is expected over the CWA for the next
several days. The flow is pretty strong from Monday through
Wednesday with jet level speeds from 60 to 100 knots. The QG
Omega fields show weak upward motion over the CWA from Sunday,
pretty much through Wednesday. At the surface, models continue to
show a decent cold front to move into the CWA Sunday night.
Moisture increases from the divide eastward on Monday and sticks
around through Wednesday. In fact, moisture gets better west of
the divide on Wednesday as well. QPF fields show measurable
rainfall in several areas all three days, with the wettest day to
be Wednesday. Will leave pops in the 30%-60% range from the
18Z-06Z time frames all three days.
Moisture decreases from Thursday onward, but there should still be
enough around for a chances of late day storms in the mountains and
isolated coverage out on the plains.
For temperatures, Sunday`s highs will be above normal but not hot
enough to break any records. Monday`s highs cool down into the
70s over the plains, with only slightly higher readings Tuesday,
then 70s again on Wednesday. Thursday highs will warm to normal
values, then Friday and Saturday could be around 90 over the
plains.

.AVIATION /12Z TAFS through 12Z Monday/...
Issued at 554 AM MDT Sun Jun 22 2025
VFR through this evening. South to southwest winds are expected,
with gusts up to 20 knots at times. A cold front will bring a
shift to north winds around 04z. Areas of low clouds are likely
after 06z, with a 30% chance of MVFR ceilings in Denver during the
later part of the night.
